The Foundation Mission

To make The Grey a sought after campus for the leading educators in South Africa by :

  • Promoting The Grey as a rewarding and fulfilling career choice
  • Providing a subsidised housing scheme through investments in local property
  • Providing funding to improve remuneration and/or benefits
  • Offering bursaries for excellent Grey matriculants who wish to enter the education profession

To centrally manage fundraising for :

  • Strategically significant capital requirements Infrastructure upgrading and maintenance
  • The ongoing development and provision of sport, music and cultural activities

Perpetual funding for classroom renovations To provide scholarship opportunities :

  • For academic, cultural and sporting excellence to boys at the Grey Schools
  • To Grey families in need of financial aid • To deserving scholars from disadvantaged communities
  • To deserving scholars from other schools

To promote and market The Grey as a centre of educational and developmental excellence by :

  • Implementing a comprehensive, integrated marketing plan Executing a PR strategy that promotes and supports the brand
  • Conducting a brand communication plan
  • To ensure strong bonds with parents and friends of The Grey Establishing a formal body to which parents and friends can belong
  • Provide benefits and establish incentive schemes that benefit both the members and the schools
  • To ensure Old Greys and their resources are fully utilised through the Old Greys’ Union
  • To develop a world class technology-based stakeholder management system and database to ensure professional Engagement, Communication and Relationships

 

GOALS
Our Mission will be achieved by pursuing the following specific goals:
